Point pattern approach to study spatial population dynamics

A mapped point pattern, or simpliy a point pattern, is a colleciton of points. We assume that each point as an individiaul gives birth, dies, and moves, or changes its status, whatever, according to a certain rule dynamically. This approach allows us to describe and implement mechanistic interactions at individual level. This approach is a quite flexible approach to study spatial population dynamics.

Spatial pouplation dynamics has been a focus of spatial ecology and it has been extensively studied conventionally using reaction diffusion models as PDE. As an alternative approach to explore spatial population dynamics, I focus on "point pattern approach".

My research interest is to explore the point pattern dynamics in general from an analytical viewpoint.
